Duo Feliz

Duo Feliz

A concert tour of India inspired Elisabeth Deinhard (flute) and Michael Thele (guitar) to form Duo Feliz. The appealing chamber music combination of flute and guitar has inspired composers including Astor Piazzolla, Gabriel Fauré, Joaquín Rodrigo and Toru Takemitsu to write for these instruments. Drawing on original works from a wide variety of periods and styles, the duo explores the poetic sound and expressive possibilities of flute and guitar across more than four centuries of music history. Duo Feliz’s repertoire spans the Renaissance, the Viennese Classical period and contemporary compositions.
